WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

This position includes working as a team member of a new product introduction that is on the cutting edge of medical devices technology. This role requires the ability to take requirements and apply test methodologies to successfully verify them. This will include the development of test software along with good understanding of the system operation.  You will be a member of the team developing new software and participate in code reviews to enhance your understanding of this new product. As a medical device developer, it is imperative to quickly familiarize yourself with the latest regulations for US and Europe and understand what it takes to validate a new product for the marketplace.

 

YOUR ROLE:

  • Gain understanding of IEC 60204
  • Document requirements traceability through design, implementation and testing
  • Collaboration in a technically diverse team environment

 

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelors Degree in computer science or computer engineering
  • 5+ years software development experience
  • Solid knowledge of developing Python to interact with medical device/software to verify requirements.
  • Develop automation of tests with a risk-based approach to accelerate testing, optimize coverage and repeatability.
  • Organize and develop exploratory, integration and reliability testing.
  • Update Procedures to reflect improvements in QMS.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • In depth understanding of C and C++ languages and development environments
  • Previous work experience with medical devices
  • Application of medical device regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodology
  • Experience developing using cloud based tools and environment.
    • MS Azure, Github, JAMA, Squish
  • Knowledge of usability standard applied to medical devices IEC 62366.
  • Familiarity with risk management ISO 14971.
  • Familiarity with a statistical software tool is a plus (i.e. Minitab).
  • Knowledge of six sigma and value stream mapping techniques.
