WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role will support the tax department and team for the Sao Paulo,  Brazil location.

 

YOUR ROLE

  • Analyze and review incoming and outgoing invoices for goods and services, as well as import items, and verify the correct calculation and taxes to be collected in accordance with tax legislation and internal procedures.

  • Assist with tax bookkeeping.

  • Calculate all indirect taxes (ICMS, IPI, PIS, COFINS and ISS) and withholdings (PCC, IRRF, ISS, INSS); and direct (IRPJ & CSLL).

  • Prepare and control the collection of taxes, including the procedures related to the forecast of payments.

  • Prepare, analyze and deliver State and Federal Accessory Obligations (GIAs and other state obligations, ECF, EFD ICMS IPI, EFD CONTRIBUTIONS, REINF, DIRF, DCTF, DCTF-web, PERD-COMP, FCI, CIAP).

  • Prepare analysis and delivery of Federal, State and Local ancillary obligations.

  • Analyze, communicate and implement technical notes related to the changes to the layout of electronic invoices.

  • Perform accounting reconciliation of all indirect and withholding taxes.

  • Assist with inspections, as well as internal and external auditing.

  • Control and obtain negative debt certificates in all domains (Federal, State and Municipal).

  • Search for guidelines and solutions related to the activity in the fiscal bookkeeping, as well as implementation of new tax operations.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND

 

 

  • Bachelor´s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

  • 3-5 years of indirect tax experience.

  • Good analytical skills with the ability to research and interpret income tax law.

  • Experience with tax audits.

  • SP and RJ Tax environment experience.

  • Excellente communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented, organized and ability to handle tight timelines.

  • Must be proactive with a “can do” attitude.

  • Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
