WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operational Excellence Supervisor to lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within our industrial operations. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of Operational Excellence (OPEX), driving sustainable performance improvements, and aligning strategic goals with actionable outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep technical knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and a passion for developing people and processes. You will collaborate across departments and with international stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of OPEX strategies and the achievement of business objectives.
This position is based in Rio De Janeiro and is full on site.
YOUR ROLE
- Lead the implementation of Operational Excellence (OPEX) strategies across the plant.
- Collaborate with site leadership and the OPEX Director at HQ to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and execute high-impact projects that align with business goals and deliver measurable results.
- Facilitate OPEX training and development programs to build internal capabilities.
- Conduct audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to OPEX standards and continuous improvement practices.
- Promote a culture of excellence by organizing and leading OPEX events and initiatives.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs, scorecards, and ROI metrics to ensure sustained improvements.
- Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies and waste to drive operational efficiency.
- Support capital planning, product transitions, and transformation initiatives using OPEX tools.
- Provide regular feedback and insights to leadership on opportunities for operational enhancement.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within manufacturing or industrial operations.
- Proven experience in implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, including tools like Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, SMED, Kanban, and 6S.
- Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives and achieving measurable performance improvements.
Skills/Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership by influence with a track record of team development and cross-functional collaboration.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Desirable: Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or related Operational Excellence systems (e.g., Shingo, Toyota Production System).
