WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The Site Engineering Manager will directly oversee the engineering and facility maintenance functions of the Raleigh location. As a key SLT member, this position is responsible for the managing and execution of all capital investment projects, maintaining regulatory compliance, and offering technical support to optimize plant operations. Reports directly to the site leader.
YOUR ROLE

Lead and manage a team of engineering and maintenance professionals, including supervisors and technical staff.

Oversee plant optimization initiatives and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Provide expert technical support to ensure efficient and compliant plant performance.

Ensure the team is adequately resourced and trained to meet operational and strategic goals.

Maintain full regulatory compliance with DEA, EPA, FDA, OSHA, and other applicable agencies.

Serve as the Plant Security Officer, managing security systems and compliance procedures.

Act as the Fire Chief, coordinating with fire marshals and insurance carriers, and overseeing fire safety systems.

Manage capital projects, budgets, and vendor/contractor negotiations to support plant infrastructure and growth.

Collaborate with internal departments, corporate engineering, and external stakeholders to align on project goals and timelines.

Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring all incidents are reported and addressed promptly.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
Experience
-
Minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry OR FDA-regulated environemnt with expertise in construction, processing, and utility systems

Minimum of 5 years managing teams

Strong prior capital project management experience
Skills/Competencies

Strong project management and regulatory compliance knowledge

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and innovation skills

Effective communication and negotiation abilities with vendors and contractors

Budget management experience and ability to handle multiple priorities

Salary range: $120,000-180,000
