WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Join our team as a Filling Equipment Engineer, the dynamic technical leader for our process area! You'll implement projects to improve safety, quality, efficiency, cost reductions, production capacity, and equipment availability. This role requires leading teams and managing multiple tasks. This position is located at our Raleigh, NC site. 

 

YOUR ROLE:

  • Develop and maintain an equipment replacement/rebuild program for the process area.
  • Partner with Operational Excellence Organization to integrate Six Sigma/Lean tools.
  • Conduct Engineering Studies to determine root causes and corrective action plans.
  • Partner with Process Maintenance Organization to refine the maintenance program.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all work activities.
  • Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Work safely, eliminate unreasonable risks, and report incidents promptly.
  • Assist Validation, Quality, Production, Training Organizations with Engineering Studies and protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required) - preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of Process Engineering experience (preferred).
  • Experience with automated packaging or liquid filling equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Six Sigma training and/or certification (Greenbelt).
  • Lean Manufacturing training and/or certification.
  • Leadership and willingness to change.
  • Strong project design and management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with a cross-functional team.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
