 Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Weekend Night Shift M/F (27876)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Responsible for maintaining the Facility and its equipment at a constant state of readiness through corrective/preventative maintenance and repair. Documentation of all work must be completed. This position is a 12 hour night shift/ weekend only position from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am. The total hours worked equal 36, but will be paid as 40 hours total.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Troubleshoot all systems, equipment and facility and repair as needed.

  • Maintain proper records as defined in the cGMPs.

  • Perform preventative, scheduled , and corrective maintenance on utility and production related equipment as assigned

  • Perform repairs and modifications to manufacturing equipment (filling and packaging), various distribution systems including but not limited to, steam, condensate, compressed air, nitrogen, water for injection, chilled water, and city water

  • Assist engineering and others with the design, installation, and certifications of installation and modifications to systems and equipment

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection, security systems, and alarm systems

  • Responsible for entering and updating information in the Maximo system.

  • Responsible for distributing daily maintenance shift report

YOUR BACKGROUND:

Education Required/Preferred:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent (required) Technical School or Associates Degree (preferred)

Experience Required/Preferred:

  • 3-5 years in one or more of the maintenance fields
  • Demonstrated ability to use various types of welders and shop equipment (lathe, milling machines, etc)
  • Must be skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving electrical and mechanical issues

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Comptencies:

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to work within a budget – especially when ordering parts

YOUR ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must meet required gowning requirements and be able to work within a sterile core environment.
  • Must have ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and steps.
  • Must have the ability to kneel and stoop for extended periods of time
  • Required to work in all areas of the facility with some exposure to heat, dirt, oil, grease, chemicals/chemical fumes, and noise. Must be able to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment required for entering various areas of the facility.
  • Required to work overtime (at times with short notice) and to carry a wireless communication device for response to off-shift production support, as necessary.
