WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

 

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the Safety, Quality and Cost Effectiveness of the maintenance activities within the manufacturing and building facilities operations for the Packaging dept. at our site in Raleigh, NC.  Responsibilities include supervising, directing and coordinating maintenance activities to improve performance of the production areas. This candidate should  be an effective problem solver with the ability to coordinate and direct maintenance activities within the changing demands of manufacturing and the facility.  The Supervisor will oversee the preventative and corrective maintenance programs to ensure that maintenance work is performed in accordance with all regulatory and plant requirements. 

Our Supervisor will develop, understand, and work within the annual maintenance budget; manage the maintenance expertise to perform and assist with the plant operation/maintenance outages; and monitor mechanical/electrical/I&C maintenance work to ensure that all work is conducted using proper industrial and applicable plant procedures and standards. 

This position is full time, Monday thru Friday. 

 

 

YOUR ROLE:

 

  1. Improves the performance of production lines by using effective preventative maintenance, timely problem solving, equipment improvements, and training of production and maintenance personnel as needed.
  2. Ensures productivity of maintenance department through implementation of a maintenance excellence program, maintenance planning and work order assignments to process mechanics.
  3. Provides maintenance support to all aspects of the manufacturing process in accordance with FDA guidelines, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and all internal operating procedures.
  4. Provides technical direction, effective problem solving/troubleshooting, and training for process mechanics.
  5. Coordinates and schedules outside services when needed to support the efforts of the mechanics.
  6. Provides coverage for Facilities Maintenance Supervisor/Manager on an as needed basis.
  7. Ensures effective employee relations through employee coaching, mentoring and development in addition to providing performance evaluations and management for direct reports. 
  8. Provides leadership to mechanics to maintain a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, safety, and strives to develop a high-performing maintenance team.
  9. Provides financial oversight on the use of tools, equipment, materials, and parts by mechanics.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND:

 

Engineering or tech degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree is preferred

5+ years of maintenance related field, supervisory experience

Pharmaceutical mainteance and CMMS experience highly preferred

Good communication skills, organizational and computer skills

Strong analytical and prblem solving skills

Experience in understanding and troubleshoot Distributed Control Systems (Foxboro I/A system) and PLCs (Allen Bradley)

Understanding SOPs, current GMP, and regulatory requirements

Reports to Focus Factory - Packaging Manager

Direct reports include: Weekday shift Process mechanics on multiple shifts 

Interacts with Production, Engineering, outsdie contractors, Quality, HR and Materials departments 

Position is responsible for maintaining production processing equipment (Packaging)
