WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Filling Line Lead who will serve as the cornerstone of our production work center. This role requires an individual who can actively participate within the team and take the lead in day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the work center, backed by job-specific experience, manufacturing certifications, and specialized training. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of area SOPs and the ability to interpret and apply Good Manufacturing Practices. This position is located at our Raleigh, NC site on a third shift schedule, Monday-Friday 10pm-6am.

 

YOUR ROLE

As a Filling Line Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting daily and weekly production goals in the assigned work center.

  • Leading and organizing work teams.

  • Scheduling daily rotation assignments.

  • Demonstrating self-direction and initiative.

  • Assisting with the training and mentoring of new hires and temporary employees.

  • Adapting flexibly to changing production schedules and staffing arrangements.

  • Assisting the Production Supervisor with employee reviews.

  • Communicating production delays effectively to different levels of leadership.

  • Ensuring safety by working in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures.

  • Participating in cross-functional problem-solving teams.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND

Education

  • A High School graduate or GED is required, and an Associate degree is preferred but not required.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of work-specific experience as an operator, setup, or mechanic is required.

Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Willingness to work overtime / off-shift.

  • Ability to interact with all Quality, Materials and Distribution, and Engineering.

  • Advanced desktop computer skills.

  • Ability to read Standard Operating Procedures and training materials and follow procedures.

  • Ability to fill out paperwork as required.

  • Basic Math Skills.

  • Ability to communicate logically.

  • Good Manufacturing Practice Knowledge.

 

Please note that this position reports to the Production Supervisor and will work closely with QA and all production supervisors. The majority of work is performed in an environmentally controlled production facility under aseptic conditions. This role involves lifting of 50 pounds or more for short periods of time and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, electric lifts, and drums dumping equipment.
