WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Cost Analyst I is responsible for the manufacturing accounting using BPCS and JD Edwards software including analysis of work order closures and variances. This position will play a significant role in the month-end financial close process and also assist with forecasting, budgeting, and an array of ad hoc financial analysis. This position will sit within the Raleigh, NC area.
YOUR FUNCTIONS:
- Analyzes work order closures on a regular basis and prepares month-end material and labor variation statements.
- Tracks manufacturing variances and reports on a biweekly basis performance at a work order and product level for Senior Site Leadership team.
- Support performance excellence projects through metrics reporting of Material and labor.
- Support temp labor accrual and reconciliation process.
- Assist with fixed asset inventory and reconciliation.
- Assist with Capital reports including depreciation forecasts.
- Assist in AP vendor issues and works as a liaison between site purchasing and FSS AP.
- Performs journal entries for month-end close & reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Assist with inventory analysis and reconciliations.
- Assist with key site projects (such as upcoming SAP implementation)
YOUR REQUIREMENTS:
Education required/ preferred: |
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel skills) required
Strong analytical skills, self-starter, independent thinker required

Experience: |

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: |
Experience in an automated general ledger & manufacturing systems environment: JD Edwards & BPCS ERP experience a plus. MBA and CPA or CMA preferred Financial experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience with consolidation and reporting tools preferred

Skills/Competencies: |
Strong computer skills-proficient in Excel and Word; ability to work with mainframe systems |
