WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This position serves as a key scientific resource and liaison between the company and the medical and scientific community, with a focus on Diagnostic Radiology. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) ensures the timely, ethical, and customer-focused dissemination of clinical and educational information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds. The role supports scientific exchange, research collaboration, and educational initiatives while building relationships with key external stakeholders across assigned territories.
YOUR ROLE
- Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical and scientific community with a focus on Diagnostic Radiology
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and ethical standards
- Ensure the appropriate dissemination of clinical and educational information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, ethical, and customer-focused manner
- Implement scientific and educational strategies to support company-sponsored clinical trials, educational programs, and investigator-initiated studies
- Align key customers’ educational and research needs with available company resources, providing emerging data in response to healthcare professional inquiries
- Respond appropriately to unsolicited requests for scientific, technical, or clinical information regarding company products
- Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs)/thought leaders, healthcare providers, academic/medical institutions, and professional organizations across North America, discussing topics such as contrast agents, diagnostic radiology, and clinical/pre-clinical research
- Facilitate research collaborations, publications, and scientific exchange with thought leaders
- Maintain accurate documentation of scientific interactions and ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines
- Represent the company at scientific congresses, symposia, and professional meetings
- Monitor and communicate emerging scientific trends, clinical data, and competitive intelligence
- Interpret and communicate insights and recommendations internally
- Provide educational support, including Continuing Education Programs, in collaboration with commercial and medical teams
- Deliver onsite scientific support during product evaluations and clinical trial activities
- Support internal cross-functional teams by providing field insights and scientific expertise
- Requires successful completion of assigned training
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (advanced degree preferred: PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Medical Science Liaison role, or equivalent clinical experience required
- Significant training and experience in radiology or clinical research may substitute for formal education requirements
- Prior experience in radiology or pharmaceutical industry required
- Understanding of US healthcare systems, clinical settings, FDA regulations, and OIG guidelines preferred
- Technical expertise in clinical or health economic data analysis, epidemiology, or related disciplines preferred
- Strong knowledge of clinical research processes, treatment guidelines
- Experience engaging with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and academic/medical institutions
- Demonstrated ability to design, support, or interpret clinical and scientific research
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excell, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
