As part of the APAC Regional Leadership team oversee all strategic and operational supply chain initiatives, projects and operations.

 

  • Lead the APAC SC Team in alignment with Guerbet values. Create systems and role model behaviour that support high performance and team and individual development.
  • Manage the inbound and outbound logistics, brokerage, customs, 3PL and distribution functions to ensure goods are at the right place at the right time at the lowest possible cost. This involves managing carriers across sea, air and road freight and the associated commercial and operational aspects of doing so.
  • Manage the processes and priorities to safeguard the quality of our products and their safe storage and transportation to our customers.  Ensure that APAC logistics activities follow GDP requirements and national and international regulations.
  • Manage a regional team including but not limited to the following functions: customer service, demand planning, warehousing and distribution planning and execution across the region, local warehouse in Hong Kong. Assess current capability and develop team members accordingly.
  • Manage the team in a matrix organization across several countries including the regional HQ at Hong Kong and teams in Shanghai, Wenzhou, Korea, Japan and evolving.
  • Gain extensive knowledge of business processes around transportation and warehousing across regions and individual manufacturing plants.
  • Design and develop regional logistics network to align with strategic business requirements
  • Manage strategic, contractual and operational relationship with external logistics partners at all levels.
  • Partner with Plant Supply Chain teams to identify gaps in existing relationships with logistics providers and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply a data-driven approach to quantifying and pursuing opportunities
  • Develop and implement new transportation strategies for national, regional and international transportation across the APAC network.
  • Assess current warehousing footprint and develop justifications for new warehousing facilities to capture service and cost benefits.
  • Vet, onboard and manage new Transportation and Logistics providers.
  • Develop functionality requirements and benefits case for future TMS and WMS applications.
  • Define Supply Chain KPIs to create a performance driven culture for both in-house operations and 3rd party partners.
  • Define and control the logistics & resources budget and mid-term plan for the region.
  • Be the deputy PIC (Person-in-charge) for the Wholesale Dealer License of Hong Kong

 

Education, background required for the job:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience of Supply Chain Management for Pharma or FMCG or complex logistics environment
  • Strong people management experience
  • Strong understanding of supply planning
  • Proven track record of successful project and change management with cost savings and quality improvements
  • Experience of managing an APAC in-house or 3PL logistics operation
  • Relevant experience in high volume manufacturing, distribution, production planning, logistics and/or transportation environment
  • Advanced Transportation and Warehousing knowledge
  • Advanced analytics and problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Transportation (TMS) and Warehousing (WMS) system capabilities
  • Strong team player and able to work with all functions across the team
