The APAC HR Generalist delivers HR shared services and support to managers and employees in APAC. The individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting employee relations, administering HR policies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards. The role will interface with Global HR COEs and APAC HRBPs to help coordinate and drive HR Operations initiatives in APAC.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Partners closely with the HRBPs to deliver a smooth HR life cycle support (from onboarding to offboarding).
  • Works with Payroll Team to support the payroll process smoothly.
  • Assists in tax filing in Hong Kong.
  • Maintains employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Compiles, analyzes and reviews data & reports on HR activities to support business decisions and for data validation purposes, maintaining and correcting data and records as required.
  • Contributes to HRIS activities in line with the Global HRIS function strategy.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with service providers (insurance, leave system, attendance system etc.) to ensure process optimization, SLA delivery, and strong experience for our employees.
  • Supports the multiple annual HR programs (performance management,  salary review and bonus campaign, engagement survey, people review, HR Budget) in line with corporate guidelines.
  • Involvement in a variety of HR projects and initiatives on a regional and global basis (e.g.  compensation and benefits reviews, policy development, new hire orientation program etc.)
  • Develops and implements HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards and company guidelines.
  • Assists in training activities and coordinate staff events.
  • Supports hiring plan processes including evaluating roles, posting job requisitions, managing relationships with third party recruitment agencies, coordinating selection processes, short-listing, interviewing, issuing offers, reference checking and on-boarding plans.
  • Supports other ad hoc projects as required.

Educations & Experiences

  • University Degree, preferably within a HR, business or psychology related field.
  • Minimum of 2 year’ progressive generalist HR experience as a HR Administrator / Officer in Hong Kong, preferably for a multinational organization
  • Some regional experience within Asia Pacific preferred
  • Experience supporting commercial and functional / support teams
  • Good working knowledge of Hong Kong labor laws, knowledge of core employment regulations in other countries in the region is advantageous

  • Advanced IT skills including Excel & HRIS (SuccessFactors preferred, not essential)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, plus Mandarin
  • Good team player
