The Head of finance is responsible for Guerbet’s financial controlling with economic and financial analysis necessary for the operational and strategic management. The role contributes to the reliability of financial analysis and must ensure reporting accuracy. The Head of finance provides strategic financial insight and partnership to support the development of the activity towards Senior Management, as Business Partner and ensuring the convergence of the Finance activities to support the commercial business.  He is responsible for managing the SSC in HK and the country controllers.

 

Financial Control

  • In collaboration with the VP/General Managers, preparation of budget and Mid Term Plan according to Corporate requirements, instructions and policies
  • Performance of continuous re-forecast of the activity and anticipation of year-end landing
  • Manages Analysis of budget deviations by controllers and Financials presentation in QBR
  • Cost control and identification of profitability improvements
  • Support to local management for business tracking and decision making (information, analysis, …)
  • Reporting (sales, P&L, balance sheet, inventories, headcount, …) in line with Corporate requirements

 

Review and Approve:

  • Sales, OPEX, and P&L & B/S submission to HQ
  • Commercial Contracts and financial terms

 

Internal Control

  • Implementation, application and control of all Corporate guidelines, instructions and  policies
  • Management of local necessary procedures
  • Review and Approve Purchase orders once procurement to pay is implemented
  • Detection and prevention of frauds
  • Liaison with internal and external audit

 

Accounting

  • Liaison with local auditors and the SSC
  • Local regulation watch
  • New Product Launch Accounting
  • Responsible for HK local books in collaboration with finance manager
  • Tech Services Accounting: Review of current methodologies regarding efficiency of the Field Service Division in order to be understand margin attainment possible.

 

Tax

  • Management of transfer pricing documentation and application according to Corporate requirements, instructions and policies
  • Liaison with local advisory if needed
  • Local regulation watch

 

Legal

  • Finance Liaison for all legal issues and litigation

 

Cash Management

  • Review and Approve Bad Debt Entry Monthly
  • Review and Approve Write Offs
  • Application of Corporate guidelines
  • Monitoring of cash flows as needed
  • Reporting in line with Corporate requirements
  • Management of treasury information systems in cooperation with Corporate

 

Other

  • Management of general services (office, cars, …)
  • Compliance Committee
  • Pricing Committee
  • Participation to any Company projects when required
  • Local representative of Corporate Finance for internal control and application of Corporate policies
  • Pro-active and transparent communication with the functional manager

 

Minimum qualification required:

  • Degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
  • Experience of finance management in an international environment
  • Knowledge of local tax, accounting and legal affairs
