Government Contract Administrator

The Government Contract Administrator is the expert responsible for account management for Federal Government customers supported by Guerbet. Manages Federal Government contracting elements across the entire portfolio. Works directly with appropriate departments to apply business management principles, compliance, and financial concepts to identify and recommend strategies that maximize the company’s performance against sales and profit goals and minimize business risk. Familiarity with Federal Supply Schedules and management of Veterans Administration & Department of Defense deals and knowledgeable of the 340B process.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports sales and compliance leadership in navigating federal contract bids, agreements and schedules, such as 340B, Apexus, and FSS contracts.
  • Responsible for reviewing, assessing, and escalating compliance and operational risks.
  • Will be relied upon as a subject matter expert in government contracting.
  • Coordinate the proper execution of all contract compliance activities. Be the primary point of contact for day-to-day administration, to include coordination of pricing activities with the price administration team and ensuring all government systems are properly maintained with current information.
  • Support the US sales team with contract drafting, bid reviews, and the ongoing management of contracts.
  • Manage domestic distributor vetting process in coordination with legal and finance. Support US sales team with contract drafting, bid reviews, and the ongoing management of contracts.
  • Works closely with legal, pricing operations, contract operations, and accounting/finance to develop proper business process.
  • Effectively synthesizes business objectives and outcomes through dynamic contract strategy.
  • Ability to process all government related activity in a compliant and timely manner, fees, rebates, appropriate reporting data, etc.
  • Work with our Distributor counterparts both internally within Guerbet’s pricing and contracts team and externally with government aligned distributors

Position Requirements

Minimum qualification required:    

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, General Business or other related discipline, required, MBA preferred


Knowledge / experience required beyond minimum qualification:    

•    At least five years’ contract management experience, required, with most of this time in the healthcare industry specifically the Medical-Products business, preferred.
•    Expert level knowledge of Government contracting principles, including but not limited to FAR, DFAR, DLA/DAPA, 340B, FSS, and GSA.
•    Working knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations, Aggregation groups and Integrated Health Networks preferred.

•    Positive, self-motivated individual with a high level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn and incorporate coaching and instructions into daily tasks and assignments
•    Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with MS Project, Wrike or other project management software a plus
