A vacancy now exists for an E&I Engineer.  The purpose of this role will be to provide technical expertise in the area of Electrical and Instrumentation to the plant's maintenance group.

Roles and Responsibilities

 

Principle accountabilities include  but are not limited to:

  • Act as system owner for the sites Electrical & Instrumentation infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support on all Electrical & Instrumentation issues in the plant and play an active role in the sites maintenance excellence and lean manufacturing programmes i.e. equipment criticality assessments, RCM, FMEA and RCA’s etc.
  • Responsible for the daily management of the sites Instrument Calibration programme.
  • Assist the Engineering Planner with the coordination of all Electrical & Instrument maintenance activities on site.
  • Responsible for the maintaining and compiling of site Electrical & Instrumentation related SOPs and Maintenance Job plans.
  • Provide training to the maintenance technicians and others, as required.
  • Responsible for the project management of site Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance projects and site electrical shutdowns.
  • Provide Electrical & Instrument support to the projects group ensuring that site standards are maintained.
  • Ensure the Calibration Programme and Electrical Safety Management Programme meet all Statutory and Regulatory requirements i.e ATEX/ICHQ7A
  • Other project work and Continuous Improvement initiatives as determined by Facilities Manager.

 

Required Skills and Background

 

Applicants must have the following:

  •  Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Instrumentation & Control systems (or working towards degree qualification).
  • 5-10 years industrial experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
  • Good understanding of LV control & switchgear.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation technology and calibration.
  • Ability to prepare specifications for electrical equipment and instruments.
  • Strong problem solving and fault finding skills.
  • Pharmaceutical/GMP experience an advantage.

 

Training

Full training on all the responsibilities of this role will be provided.
