Director of Trade Relations and Commercial Operations

Support the commercial operations team in an environment that fosters the development and delivery of highly innovative solutions. This role and responsibilities encompass Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Interventional Imaging (II) Divisions.

 

Master Pricing Management:

  • Develop pricing management for all new products introduced into the US market, working with the marketing and finance team
  • Develop and analyze the pricing for contrast media, injectors, and ultrasound at the national level
  • Create pricing analysis and business reviews for all employees in the field sales organization
  • Collaborate with Finance in long term planning, strategizing, forecasting, budgeting, and accruals as far as contract development and enhancement impact
  • Provide with analysis, pricing & marginality for the NA market based on margins for individual Group and portfolio sales
  • Support Legal Department for all negotiations and contract responses relating to the price/portfolio negotiation

Compliance and Chargeback Programs

  •  Collaborate with finance, contract administration, and corporate accounts to validate customer chargebacks to determine eligibility for contracted pricing and rebates
  • Create standardization of rebate structures across all modalities
  • Manage competitive utilization and compliance reporting by individual contract
  • Manage process for VA Contract Reporting
  • Manage process for Medica Report
  • Help develop compliance program for Medicare
  • Design, build, and test standard production reports/processes to support businesses across Guerbet, working with Finance, Business Analytics, and IT
  • Manage/monitor contracts compliance for four major GPO’s - Premier, HPG, Vizient
  • Present customers with sales analysis, fees, commitment, and compliance reports supporting the National Contract Director

Government Programs

  • Manage VA and DoD Sales Operation support functions
  • Manage the RFI/RFE/RFP Private and Public processes
  • Develop and Monitor
  • Build tools for LT team to monitor Product Margin and Deal review
  • Manage Government Price Reporting
  • Trade Relations
  • Drive relationships with key distribution partners. Work with Sales to target
  • Develop process to closely monitor distributor inventory levels and sell-through

 

Minimum qualification required:    

•    15+ years of related experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry and a BS or BA degree
•    Must be familiar with the Business Operations and Contract Compliance Department

 

Knowledge / experience required beyond minimum qualification:    

•    5- 10 years of proven sales analytical skills 
•    Candidate should be able to work independently 
•    5 years industry experience, or up to 10 years of significant previous training and experience in forecasting business growth results in areas/ markets where there was no activity.

 

Other key factors:    

•    Strong working knowledge of all government pricing regulations, Affordable Care Act, advisories, methodologies and standard operating procedures
•    Must exercise sound business judgment and strong analytics when reviewing and forming an opinion regarding new contract opportunities
•    Proven track-record of managing ongoing business activity with partners to achieve a positive outcome for the Company, while building mutually beneficial relationships
•    Able to report, in very succinct and solution focused manner, key issues to senior management
•    Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on strategic market management, follow-through, and issue resolution abilities are required
