SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for receiving items that arrive from subcontractors accompanied by shipment documentation.  Process supplier shipments through receiving citing appropriate purchase order (PO) information. 

YOUR ROLE

• Unload the trucks.

• Verify the accuracy of the shipment documentation as to quantity of skids, boxes received as well as document any discrepancy.

• Visually inspect all packages as they are being unloaded from the freight carrier.

• Receive entries into computer database.

• Identifies and physically transfers material to inspection or stock location.

• Prepares return material shippers occasionally as needed.

• Perform safe practices and duties relative to the operation of banders, pallet jacks, forklifts, and any other mechanical equipment.

• Assist to monitor and maintain inventory accuracy.

• Generation and inspection of product labels.

• Stage product timely utilizing extreme attention to detail and ensuring schedule mix accuracy.

• Uses company software and programs to assess and maintain inventory accounting.

• Address and create nonconformance reports (NCR) for non-conforming parts daily.

• Move accepted material to the stock location for “put away”.

• Ensure work area and equipment is kept clean and orderly at all times.

• Follow first in first out (FIFO) practices.

• Complete company assigned training courses.

• Perform other duties as assigned

YOUR BACKGROUND

• High School Diploma or equivalence

• Ability to operate pallet jacks and powered industrial vehicles

• Experience with material handling / receiving processes

• Some computer skills

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Able to lift to 35 lbs. without assistance

• Ability to operate powered Industrial trucks and scissors lift

• Occasionally requires working from heights

• Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, crawl, kneel

• Consistent and regular attendance is a requirement of the position

• Work in areas with light to moderate noise

• Standing and walking is required for extended periods of time

• Require high degree of manual dexterity, which could be performed under restrictive conditions

• Work in areas where special apparel and safety equipment may be required at times.

• Requires flexible hours and short notice overtime
