Inside Tech Support & DS Specialist

Description

•    By phone, troubleshoots all customer requests for service by establishing cause of software and/or equipment failure.
•    Required to provide after-hours assistance when necessary
•    Determines plan of action to correct malfunction and escalates either to an Field Service Engineer or Digital Solutions counterpart
•    Prepares detailed service and failure records for all work performed
•    Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through knowledge of Digital Solution offerings and injector/urology systems.
•    Effectively plans, organizes and prioritizes workload
•    Assures all regulatory compliance issues are being followed in the department’s activities
•    Provides assistance where needed throughout the service department
•    Cross-functional collaboration with other internal customers such as commercial, quality, engineering and production
•    Ability to work with hospital IT/PACS/systems administrators
•    Possesses working knowledge of hospital IT systems, DICOM, PACS and general injector & scanner/magnet interface knowledge.
•    Provide pre-sales support (such as travel with the Sales when needed/requested)
•    Support the management and planning of the Digital Solution deployment process:  support site-planning and installation details for this application, describing the deployment environment, creating and configuring technical deployment files, collecting information needed to install and configure the software application.  
•    Builds and develops strong partnerships with the customer base.

Education
  • 5 years of relevant Biomedical IT experience
Required Skills & Background

•    Network infrastructure (LAN, TCP / IP)
•    Virtualization (VMware), Container (Docker)
•    PostgreSQL
•    Webservice, JMS, WebServer
•    Windows / Linux
•    JAVA / J2EE and Spring
•    Experience in the Radiology field for 5 years
•    Well-versed with common Radiology IT systems and standards such as DICOM, HL7, PACS
•    Intermediate networking / TCP/IP skills
•    Expert in local radiology requirements as defined by local authorities, such as CMS, TJC    or ACR
•    Teaching/training experience preferred
•    Ability to travel nationwide when required

•    Hospital IT infrastructure (IHE, DICOM, HL7, RIS / HIS, PACS)
•    Knowledge of DCM4CHEE & MirthConnect
•    Presentation & customer management skills
