Product Manager

Job duties


This position is based in Mumbai, India. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be handling end to end product management and marketing activities. 



Main Responsibilities

  • Develop Short Term – Mid Term – Long Term strategies for the portfolio.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather market and competitive information. 
  • Support Team in Field to develop the market in the designated Regions.
  • KOL Management & Key Account Product Management.  
  • Provide promotional material to support sales staff.
  • Prepare and provide product and technical information for customers.
  • Prepare and provide product training for manager, sales staff, customer service, customers and potential customers; training includes classroom training and training in the field.
  • Demand & Price maintenance of all products in the portfolio.
  • Prepare Conference Budgets and Trade Exhibition participation including attendance at all key meetings.
  • Prepare monthly marketing report (sales/margin/volume analysis by product).
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to promote the range of products in the portfolio and to gather market intelligence.
  • Liaison with Logistics/Supply Chain for stock forecasts for the portfolio; the maintenance of the stock levels and the management of excess stock, expiring stocks etc. 
  • Liaise and co-ordinate all new product launches; the steps in a product launch include identifying market potential, forecasting stock quantity, sales training, product trialing, pricing, making stock ready for sales.
  • Regular volume analysis by item code; report variances.
  • Oversee and/or execute ‘Sales Operations’ tasks (see Sales Operations Manager Job Description) as required
  • Other duties as required

Required Skills & Background



  • Tertiary qualifications in Science, Business, Marketing or Health Care
  • 2 - 5 years of working experience in marketing / product management / sales etc. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English & local languages 
  • Strong and demonstrable business acumen
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage complexity
  • Ability to set goals and work with minimum supervision
