APAC Senior Marketing Manager II

Job description


The main goals & objectives of the Asia-Pacific Marketing Manager - II is to enhance the II brands’ equities by implementing the II BU global strategy at the Asia-Pacific level & by maximizing the local tactics, and therefore generate visibility, value, sales & profits to Guerbet II BU. 

Guerbet II brands include Lipiodol Ultra-Fluid (LUF), Patent-Blue V (PBV), Vectorio, DraKon, SeQure and may include in the future other brands or businesses deriving from Business Development & Licensing opportunities in the field of Interventional Radiology & Oncology (Theranostic) yet not excluding opportunities in other clinical medical unmet needs, particularly in women healthcare.


Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implements portfolio strategic plans for APAC to achieve business goals
  • Devise effective go-to-market strategy align with global strategy and local contexts
  • Work closely with country affiliate to develop annual marketing plans and programs to implement the strategy and achieve short term objectives
  • Support the market access through active involvement in appropriate projects and areas of responsibility
  • Diligently monitor healthcare trends across region, report impact of changes and implications for the organization for new and existing Technologies
  • Drive key performance indicators within assigned portfolios, ensuring consistent delivery of value, track and analyze the return on investment
  • Identify product gap and Asia Pacific customers’ needs and make recommendations to HQ to develop products which suits Asia Pacific market
  • Improve product marketability & profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities
  • Influence several internal & external key stakeholders by articulating the II brands clinical differentiation effectively & powerfully
  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying customer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's local footprints, forecasting projected business, establishing targeted market share
  • Meet marketing objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.
  • Implement II BU marketing promotional tools & adjust them at local Asia-Pacific level 
  • Frame Guerbet II brands footprint at major communication events (congresses, workshops, symposia & local customers centric events) in all Asia Pacific.
  • Work with the Medical team of Guerbet in tandem to ensure medico-marketing training of key internal & external stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region
  • KOL management (design & conduct KOL management program) 
  • Map-out market trends through identifying customer’s insight thanks to market research, competitive intelligence data gathering & analysis
  • Maintain & develop the knowledge of II brands with internal partners & external key stakeholders such as distributors, GPO, governmental agencies, Public Affairs managers
  • Monitor the impact of marketing actions via the CRM and adapt local strategy accordingly
  • Work on upstream marketing activities with II BU & local affiliates to prepare further Guerbet II brands & products launches & introductions
  • Work on upstream marketing activities with II BU & local affiliates as well as Business Development & Licensing to prepare further Guerbet II businesses opportunities, acquired or co-marketed

Required Skills & Background


Educations & Experiences 

  • 8+ years sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry and / or the medical devices industry with 5+ years’ experience in product marketing management
  • Intervention Oncology/OBGNs experience a plus 


Skills & Qualifications

  • Solid work experience with cross-functional teams at global & regional level
  • Possess knowledge of Asia Pacific Healthcare systems and understand the regulatory requirement of pharmaceutical and medical device industry in Asia Pacific
  • Demonstrates in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in product/market management 
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong Interpersonal, analytical, diplomatic and negotiation skills in multicultural environment
  • Experience in matrix customer decision making processes 
  • Strong communication skill, able to communicate confidently with different stakeholders from diverse culture background
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance and determine own work priorities 
  • Enjoy frequent traveling within Asia Pacific
  • Fluent in English and Putonghua language
  • Familiar with digital marketing
