Senior Marketing Manager - Interventional Imaging Division


Purpose of Position

To drive the acheivement of the Interventional Radiology and Oncology Imaging and Intervention business growth through focused market/competitive analysis and the provision of a long term strategic marketing plan for North America.   The position is responsible for the elabortation and the execution of the Interventional Imaging franchise plan and budget as well as the implementation of Marketing excellence standards within North America.

  • Market Strategy Formulation
    •  Prioritize new business opportunities that impact NA - II franchise plans, profit and margin objectives
    • Direct and approve NA II franchise market development and strategic /tactical plans
    • Set the direction for clinical strategy and define appropriate tracking tools
    • Set directions for budget planning and define appropriate tracking tools for the II franchise
    • Establish strong relationships with divisional counterparts to contribute to new product portfolio development definition
    • Set direction for communication and event strategy and define appropriate tracking tools
    • Establish a working understanding of other divisions market development plans and tactics.
  • Market Strategy Implementation 
    • Develop II franchise strategic plans to achieve objectives
    • Continuously monitor sales performance versus NA Budget plan with Director and provide input on local sales strategies and execution partnering with National Sales Manager
    • Regularly participate in business reviews
    • Coordinate operational strategies and programs with involvement from sales management
  • Product Context
    • Ensure product development initiatives are consistent with US, Canada and Puerto Rico market needs
    • Direct and approve all neccessary actions to drive market / product needs assessments
    • Manage product prioritization within franchises and provide input towards North America development prioritization
  • Planning and Management 
    • Continuously review all aspects of II Marketing groups performance and provides analysis and recommendations to ensure plans and objectives are maximized
    • Develop and manage annual II franchise expense budgets
    • Drive expense accountability / awareness to his/her team
    • Interpret and utilize fanchise P&L to drive business decisions
    • Develop annual franchise revenue plan and collaborate on frachise / divisional operating plan with Director
  • Stakeholder and Management Networking
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the field
    • Develop ongoing communication and relationships with key internal functional areas, country management, training, US Marketing counter-parts across Guerbet divisions
    • Prioritize and coordinate the NA II franchise excecutional involvement with cross-functional groups (sales management, sales reps, marketing communications, national accounts/corporate programs).
  • Motivate and Lead Others
    • Manage/monitor all marketing activities with his/her team to acheive strategic and business objectives
    • Develop and coach his/her team member to match marketing excellence standards and ensure appropriate skill development
    • Ensure a working understanding to other franchise's strategic plans and tactic
    • Promote best practice 
  • Quality 
    • Ensure awareness and compiance with applicable standard operating procedures top meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory committments.

  • Specific areas of focus will be in Interventional Radiology and Oncology, however, this position incudes a general knowledge of other related peripheral intervention disciplines, business unit function and cross group dependencies and relationships.
  • A candidate who develops solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises authority and judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
