LATAM MSL

MSL (Medical Science Liaison) LATAM
  • Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/ scientific community
  • Ensure the appropriate dissemination of scientific and clinical information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds
  • Implement clinical and educational strategies to support Company-sponsored trials, to facilitate investigator-initiated studies, and to develop educational initiatives
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific, technical or clinical information about Company products
  • Represent Company at professional meetings, congresses, local symposia and partner-sponsored meetings
  • Ensure relevant and appropriate responses to customer medical inquiries
  • Provide scientific support and attendance to conferences and meetings
  • Identify and engage with KOL and “rising stars”, establishing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships to build awareness, proper use and investigate new uses of Guerbet’s products
  • Aid on special projects in conjunction with Marketing, Sales, Clinical Development, or Compliance as directed
  • Provide educational support (e.g., continuing education programs) as requested by Sales staff
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship with Medical Representatives and Commercial colleagues to ensure strategies and business plans are both patient and business focused
  • Report emerging clinical trends
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to network and partner with important external customers, including medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors and pharmacy directors
  • Ability to identify opportunities for win-win interactions and to operate them while implementing scientific and educational strategies
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally that promote learning, obtain results, and strengthen alliances with the health outcomes function
  • Ability to work successfully in a team/ cross-functional environment
  • Be compliant to Ethics, Compliance and internal policies
  • Ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and a solution orientation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule
  • Fluent English and Portuguese. Knowledge of Spanish is beneficial

The position is associated with 50 to 70% travel time; overnight travel is required as needed

Education

An advanced degree preferred with experience in an appropriate discipline (e.g., Medicine, Nursery, Epidemiology, Health Services, Pharmacy, Human Biology, Pharmacoeconomics, Public Health, Psychology, or other relevant sciences).
