Reclamation Technician

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for initiating and performing the reclaim process for the preparation of solution for the recovery of API from drug product. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepare and label the HDPE drums needed for holding the sterile solution associated with the reclamation of the API.
2. Place the sterile solution in the prepared drums as available and insure all material is recorded on the drum log sheets.
3. Record drum numbers, acid added and weights as necessary on the drum record sheets.
4. Mix and sample each full drum in preparation for QC testing.
5. Seal drums, deliver samples to the QC labs and prepare the drum record and log sheets for review.
6. Notify warehouse manager when four drums are complete for storage pending shipment.
7. Communicate with internal and external customer as needed.
8. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment.  Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.  Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
9. Ensure production garments and gowning supplies are stocked.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:

• This position reports to the Form/Fill Manager.
• This position will work closely with Q & R personnel, production supervisors, and warehouse personnel.
• This position has no direct budget responsibility.
