Production Planner II

OUR NEED:

 

The Production Planner II is an integral member within our Supply Chain team, working and mentoring with key senior members of the department, located at the site in Raleigh, NC. The Planner will be responsible for scheduling domestic and international products to meet forecasted demand and ensuring availability of raw materials and components to meet schedules.

 

YOUR DUTIES:

 

  1. In support of our Sales and Operations Planning, determine weekly and monthly schedules for domestic and international products to include firm schedules, firm planned orders and tentative schedules.
  2. Ensure availability of components to meet schedules. Distribute weekly report detailing necessary release dates for all quarantined components and raw materials.
  3. Distribute schedule revisions as needed and ensure availability of components for all revisions.
  4. Provide support as necessary for Production/Planning Clerk functions.
  5. Communicate with internal and external customer as needed.
  6. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment.  Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk.  Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND:

 

Education required/ preferred:

4-year college degree

Experience:

1-5 years in production planning

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Familiar with BPCS, Access and Excel software;

APICS certification

Skills/Competencies:

Organization, communication

Other Skills:

Problem-solving
