APAC Clinical Application Specialist

Job description

 

The purpose of the APAC Clinical Application Specialist is to provide clinical, technical and product knowledge support and demonstrations to current and potential customers, distributors, and colleagues. Builds and maintains solid customer relationships and provides customer and staff training at all levels. Is responsible for key customer reports as required to support Guerbet’s Diagnostic, Interventional and Digital Imaging products.

 

  • Providing technical and clinical application expertise in the field organization for the Guerbet Diagnostic, Interventional and Digital Imaging portfolio of products. 
  • Possess a high degree of understanding the client relationship with physicians, their needs and how we can provide a service and technology solutions for their diagnostic, interventional and digital Imaging needs.
  • Coordinate, schedule and conduct on-site visits with our customers and sales force.
  • Provides timely information to the team regarding customer concerns, issues and market opportunities.
  • Maintains familiarity with the status of calls and issues at customer sites.
  • Educates and trains physicians, distributors and hospital personnel on technical matters relating to Guerbet’s diagnostic, Interventional and digital Imaging products.
  • Assists with management of eLearning initiatives including Learning Management System development and management, knowledge sharing platforms, electronic tracking of training plans, and project management for web-based course development with a focus on providing an easy-to-use, effective platform for knowledge sharing and course completion.
  • Obtains appropriate regulatory and legal approvals for training content and serve as a resource for the approval process for others within the department.
  • Prepares educational content for digital webinars 
  • Provides a clinical resource for all Radiologists/Oncologists, clinicians and others being trained.
  • Provides training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their new personnel (Train the Trainer).
  • Represents Guerbet during clinical evaluations and demonstrations involving Diagnostic, Interventional and Digital Imaging products by attending cases and instructing physicians during clinical procedures as directed by the senior leadership.
  • Provides potential leads for new products, opportunities and customers to the GMs that are uncovered during the course of product demonstrations, evaluations, and training.
  • Provide input on new product development based on in-field experience.

Required Skills & Background

 

  • 5+ years related clinical experience with Bachelors degree, OR
  • 3+ years related clinical experience with a Masters degree, OR
  • 5+ years related clinical experience with AS degree or equivalent certifications
  • Prior experiences with Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Digital Solutions, Interventional Radiology, Interventional Oncology and/or oncology therapeutics are preferred.
  • Prior experiences with catheter based trans-arterial therapeutics, embolics, and ablations techniques.
  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Willingness to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization in order to achieve desired results
  • Teamwork - Commitment to the successful achievement of the team and organizational goals through a desire to participate with and help other members of the team.
  • Customer service focus - Demonstrate a focus on listening to and understanding the customer needs and then delighting the customer by exceeding service and quality expectations
  • Strong clinical, technical and operative skills  
  • Proficient computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. General working knowledge of internet for business use.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with people individually and groups: ability to communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues; experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships across departments
  • Quickly develop strong and effective presentation skills with new products in new markets
  • Understand interventional procedures and terminology
  • 60% overnight travel in assigned geography as needed
  • Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail
  • Manual dexterity to use common diagnostic, digital and Interventional Radiology / Oncology department equipment & perform sterile techniques as required
  • Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 10kg and/or wear lead apron
