Medical Device Engineering Co-op - Spring 2022

Description

You can be part of an exciting team that's developing the next generation of Diagnostic and Interventional Medical Imaging! Join internationally distributed team responsible for the complete design of the innovative platform extending Guerbet's leading position Injection Solution Systems.

The Development & Engineering (D&E) testing technician will be participating in testing hardware and software for medical devices. The technician will be required to setup and test medical devices/components based on written test protocols. They will be required to record pass/fail results and to legibly and accurately write a description of the steps that led up to any failed tests.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build and prepare medical device prototypes or modify existing devices to be used for testing purposes under the mentorship of engineering team
  • Assist engineering team with test protocol development 
  • Perform medical device hardware and software testing for exploratory and product verification purposes while working from written test protocols
  • Perform troubleshooting and assist engineering with root cause analysis of test issues

Education

Minimum requirment: 2nd year student of an associates or bachelor's degree program in electronic or biomedical technical field

Required Skills & Background

  • Understanding of good scientific testing process and the ability to conform to written testing procedures
  • A strong understanding of all MS Office software components (Word and Excel mandatory)
  • Experience using electrical test equipment a positive
  • Enthusiasm about technical field with ambitions to professionally in the medical device field
