Device Applications Specialist

Job Summary

The purpose of the Device Specialist is to provide training on the Guerbet urology, injector and associated consumable products to customers, to a documented competency level, in a clinical environment.  This will include documenting the training, issuing certificates for CE credits and answering internal and external customers questions about the equipment and associated consumable products.

Position Responsibilities

•    Builds and develops strong partnerships with the customer base. Primary role is to train customers on use and features of injectors and urology suite products. Consults with new and existing customers.
•    Position Scope:  Capital Equipment to include: OptiOne Single-Head CT, OptiVantage Dual Head CT, OptiStar Elite MR, Illumena Neo CL/IR Contrast Delivery Systems and Hydra Vision Digital Imaging Systems.
•    Assists Sales in maintaining customer satisfaction by advising Sales Representatives of any breakdown in communication, unresolved issues or any other situation that would threaten our consumable business.
•    Where necessary, represent the company publicly in a commercial capacity at scientific symposia, tradeshows, or similar events
•    Customer focused with the ability to gain customer respect through knowledge of Guerbet’s equipment and consumable portfolio. 
•    May be required to assemble, or assist in assembling injectors for use at conventions, customer demonstrations, etc.  This may involve the use of hand tools and manual lifting of components weighing <50 lbs each.
•    Maintains professional, market and technical knowledge by attending educational symposia, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and maintaining Radiologic Technology (or similar clinical) license.
•    Contributes to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks and demonstrating characteristics that exemplify team building and support.

Position Requirements

•    Associates Degree 
•    5+ years CT, MR, CL/IR, OR/surgery experience, as a Registered Technologist (or equal), with applicable current registrations and in good standing.
•    Working knowledge of Computer Assisted Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance (MR),Cardiac Cath (CL) and Interventional Radiology (IR) injection systems and OR/surgery urology clinical practice.
•    Working knowledge of IT/IS PACS/RIS connectivity is a plus
Knowledge / experience required beyond minimum qualification:    •    Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with people individually and groups.  
•    Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
•    Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships across departments.
