WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Inventory and Procurement Analyst directly supports the achievement of the plant inventory accuracy and inventory target and is responsible for inventory discrepancy analysis and resolution.
THE ROLE
- Drive and support inventory optimization initiatives to achieve plant inventory target.
- Management, analysis, tracking, reporting and reduction of obsolete, slow and non-moving inventory
- Management of VMI hardware program, to include creating, placing, updating, or canceling of program purchase orders, receipt of product, coordination with A/P for invoice payment, and review of overall process for continuous improvement, inventory and cost reduction opportunities
- Management of Receiving and Inbound Audit Process, to include performing audits of material, tracking and reporting of results
- Management of Manufacturing Cycle Count Process, to include performing audits of material, tracking and reporting of results
- Lead root cause investigation of discrepancies, present and lead implementation of resolutioN
- Generate new and update existing inventory reports to aid in optimization of inventory levels, and improvement of inventory utilization performance
- Generation of monthly inventory analysis reporting
- Support raw material inventory storage optimization plan
- Support BPCS and other system data optimization initiatives to include part re-categorization, and identification and clean-up of data inaccuracies
- Routinely interacts with Manufacturing, Quality, D&E, and Distribution Center
- Interaction with outside VMI suppliers
- Other duties as assigned
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Ability to maintain multiple computerized material management systems; experience with SAP, BPCS, JDE and Agile preferred
- Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with ability to analyze and present spend, production, and supplier data
- Ability to understand and work through A/P issues
- System data extraction and report writing capability
- Ability to analyze and present inventory findings
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing related experience preferred
- Ability to accomplish work independently and in teams
- Ability to set and meet deadlines
- Administrative and communication skills appropriate for coordination, planning, control, record keeping and instructing
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to safely operate industrial pallet jack
