WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Network Analyst II function is a technical position in IT.  This position supports in-place technologies & technology users via defined policies and procedures.   The position reports to an IT Director or Manager and is part of a team that supports both the voice and data networks for the data centers, plants, commercial offices, and shared service centers. The position also manages vendors where fully outsourced services are procured.

 

This role can be based at either our Cincinnati, OH or Raleigh, NC location.

 

YOUR ROLE:

  • Provides technical expertise in the management of the network voice and data.

  • Installs, supports and/or maintains local (LAN), wide area network (WAN), voice infrastructure (Telecom), wireless technologies, and miscellaneous network attached equipment (cameras, temperature sensors, doorbells, etc).

  • Manages security infrastructure such as hardware and software firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, anti-virus infrastructure, and web filtering, and responds quickly and efficiently to identify and isolate any threats that emerge.

  • Performs technical analysis of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations.

  • Tests and analyzes network facilities including network control software, routers, and switches and coordinates disaster recovery preparedness and testing.

  • Records and documents network changes via change management procedures, inventory systems, and current network diagrams.

  • Participate in staff meetings and team meetings as required.

  • Develop understanding of general industry usage of supported technologies.

  • Develop basic understanding of business processes and business dependencies on supported technologies.

  • Develop relationships within I/S and with supported customers to improve collaboration and teamwork necessary to obtain objectives across an internationally dispersed organization.

  • Participate in a development planning process where employee career goals are defined & understood and development activities are incorporated into the employee objectives.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related business field

  • 5 Years Information Systems Experience

  • Bachelor degree in IT field (computer science, information systems, etc.)

  • 5 years experience in a Data Network / Voice administration

  • CCNA / CCNP certification
