WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Engineer to join our team. This role is integral to the management and integration of new processes and equipment into our  facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering proposals, feasibility studies, cost studies, and providing technical support. They will also assist in the development and management of the site’s Capital Plan. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering the best available technology to projects and keeping current with technology/engineering advances. This role is located at our Raleigh, NC site.

 

YOUR ROLE:

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Management and integration of new processes and equipment into the Raleigh, NC facility.
  • Preparation of engineering proposals, feasibility studies, cost studies, and provision of technical support.
  • Utilization of engineering expertise to develop clear, concise conceptions, methods, layouts, and documentation to determine project feasibility.
  • Collaboration with designers, mechanics, technicians, and outside contracting firms to bring projects from the design stage to production.
  • Assistance in the development and management of the site’s Capital Plan.
  • Provision of capital project oversight, internal and external team coordination, cost and schedule reporting, drawing reviews, construction quality oversight, proactive change order management, and administration.
  • Generation of analyses of timelines, resources, and budget information that facilitate scenario planning, contingency planning, risk assessment/management, problem solving, and decision-making.
  • Monitoring and reporting project status to Raleigh Continuous Improvement Activities (CIA) Committee.
  • Ensuring that all tasks are performed in a manner that complies with Pharmaceutical and Governmental regulations and Guerbet’s commitment to quality, safety, and ethical behavior.
  • Keeping current with technology/engineering advances to deliver the best available technology to the project.

 

YOUR BACKGROUND:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (required).

  • Professional Engineer Registration (preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 0-4 years for Associate Project Engineer, 4-5 years for Project Engineer, 5-7 for Senior Project Engineer of industrial experience in a regulated environment (food, beverage, or pharmaceutical).

  • Minimum 0-2 years for Associate Project Engineer, 2-5 years for Project Engineer, 5-7 for Senior Project Engineer of project management experience in a regulated environment (food, beverage, or pharmaceutical).

  • Project management, cost estimation, and project scheduling experience.

Skills/Competencies

  • Background in managing Lean/Six Sigma projects and initiatives.

  • Strong project management capabilities; capital equipment specification, procurement and qualification; hands-on equipment problem-solving ability; experience in process validation; experience in cGMP manufacturing environment with an emphasis on aseptic filling and packaging.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to provide informal leadership of others, such as directing the work of staff not under direct supervision.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.

  • Must be able to perform basic algebraic and geometrical mathematical functions.

  • Oral communication: The individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.

  • Written Communication: The individual has the ability to write effective documentation, edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.

  • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices.
